Paid Time Off Policies

Nektar Therapeutics’ Personal Time Off (PTO) program offers employees paid time off for rest, personal business, or illness (including family and Domestic Partners). PTO combines vacation, sick, and personal days, allowing flexibility to meet personal and family needs.

Full-time employees accrue 20 days of PTO per year from their first day, increasing to 23 days after 4 years, and 25 days after 9 years. Part-time employees accrue PTO on a prorated basis. Employees continue accruing PTO while using it but not during leaves of absence unless PTO is applied. Maximum accrual limits are:

• 280 hours for 0-4 years of service
• 322 hours for 5-9 years of service
• 350 hours for 10+ years

Once the maximum is reached, accrual stops and resumes when the PTO balance falls below the limit.
